WHO WE ARE
Founded in New Jersey, RL Bethany Relief Services INC provides humanitarian relief, crisis prevention, and long-term support programs. We partner with local organizations, agencies, and community members to deliver practical help where it’s needed most — including workforce training, food assistance, housing support, and family wellness resources.
Our work is guided by the principles of solidarity, compassion, and direct action. We believe in meeting people where they are and walking alongside them toward stability and self-sufficiency.
OUR CURRENT OBJECTIVE
RL Bethany Relief Services INC is seeking grant funding to establish and operate a Welcome Center in Newark, New Jersey — a centralized, one-stop location where individuals and families can access immediate support and essential services on their path to stability and self-sufficiency.
The Welcome Center will offer emergency supplies (clothing, coats, blankets, shoes, toiletries, and food), on-site counseling and mental health support, and workforce development programming including job readiness training, ESL classes, GED preparation, and digital literacy. Visitors will also receive legal and immigration navigation support, cultural orientation, and referrals to housing, healthcare, and other critical resources.
By bringing these services together in one accessible space, the Welcome Center will reduce barriers, promote community integration, and help individuals and families build stronger foundations as they settle into American life — directly advancing our mission of lifting families, guiding futures, and building stronger communities.
SERVICES PROVIDED
RLBHRS connects with hosts in the community to provide temporary housing to migrant families who are seeking asylum in the United States. We provide coats, blankets, toiletries and food to help families in need. We try to connect our people to donors who wish to assist them on a personal level. We also work with lawyers to provide pro bono legal services to our migrant brothers and sisters. We partner with various organizations to provide mental health services, medical health care, prenatal care and infant care services. We use our personal cars, Uber services and partner with churches to provide transportation services to our people. They do rely on reliable transportation to report to their immigration appointments as well as doctor’s appointments.
